Terms of Service

By accessing or using StreamBuddy ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. StreamBuddy is a multi-platform live stream assistant that provides text-to-speech, overlays, and stream management tools for content creators.

StreamBuddy is currently in Closed Beta. Access is restricted to whitelisted accounts only. We reserve the right to:

• Grant or revoke beta access at our sole discretion
• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service without notice
• Reset or delete user data during the beta period without liability
• Change these Terms at any time, with changes effective upon posting

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" DURING BETA. WE MAKE NO GUARANTEES OF UPTIME, DATA PERSISTENCE, OR CONTINUED AVAILABILITY.

To use StreamBuddy, you must authenticate using a supported platform (TikTok or Twitch) via OAuth. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information and maintain accurate account details
• Maintain the security of your platform authentication credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Use only accounts you own or have explicit permission to connect

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior.

StreamBuddy integrates with TikTok, Twitch, and other third-party platforms ("Platform Providers"). You acknowledge that:

• Platform integrations are subject to the terms and policies of those platforms
• We are not responsible for changes to Platform Provider APIs that affect functionality
• Platform Providers may revoke API access at any time, which may impact the Service
• You must comply with all applicable Platform Provider terms of service
• StreamBuddy accesses only the permissions you explicitly grant via OAuth

You agree NOT to use StreamBuddy to:

• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or incite violence against any individual or group
• Distribute spam, malware, or other malicious content through TTS or overlays
• Attempt to circumvent safety filters or moderation systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Use automated systems to scrape, abuse, or overload our infrastructure
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Share or distribute your account access with unauthorized parties

Violation of this policy may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

StreamBuddy's TTS and safety filtering features are designed to help you moderate content, but:

• You are solely responsible for all content displayed on your stream
• Safety filters may not catch all inappropriate content—you must actively moderate
• We are not liable for any offensive, harmful, or illegal content processed by the Service
• You grant us a limited license to process stream events and messages for TTS functionality

StreamBuddy and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by StreamBuddy and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without permission
• Use our trademarks or branding without written consent
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

You retain ownership of your stream content and configuration settings.

StreamBuddy is currently free during the Closed Beta phase. Future paid features or subscriptions may be introduced, at which time:

• Pricing and billing terms will be clearly communicated
• Beta users may receive promotional pricing or grandfathered benefits
• All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for purpose
• Non-infringement of third-party rights
• Accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service
• Compatibility with your streaming setup or platforms

IN NO EVENT SHALL STREAMBUDDY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Stream downtime, viewer loss, or platform bans
• Damages resulting from TTS content, overlay malfunctions, or safety filter failures
• Third-party platform changes that affect Service functionality

Our total liability shall not exceed $100 USD or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StreamBuddy, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Service
• Violation of these Terms or applicable laws
• Content displayed on your stream via StreamBuddy features
• Infringement of third-party intellectual property rights

Your use of StreamBuddy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• At your request
• End of the beta program

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where StreamBuddy is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except you may assert claims in small claims court if they qualify.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and StreamBuddy regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
